CBI is pleased to welcome Brandon Chambers, Dorit Price-Levine, Simenesh Semine, Sophie Carrillo-Mandel, and Aline Kaplanian.
Brandon Chambers, Junior Associate, supports CBI’s collaboration and consensus-building processes and assists CBI’s conflict resolution and capacity-building efforts across the breadth of the firm’s practice areas. Prior to joining CBI, he conducted field research on peacebuilding and reconciliation efforts in Northern Ireland, and he’s studied the effects of twentieth-century Caribbean immigration on British society. He holds a B.A. with distinction in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University.
Dorit Price-Levine, Senior Associate, is a facilitator, coach, and mediator at CBI, with a decade and a half of experience in conflict resolution. Her clients range from national nonprofits to start-ups and corporations, from regional governmental initiatives in the public sector to local communities of faith. She holds a J.D. from UC Berkeley Law and a B.A. in political science and Near Eastern studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She is licensed to practice law in the state of New York and is a certified mediator.
Simenesh Semine, Junior Associate, supports various projects through stakeholder engagement, assisting with facilitation and mediation, technical assistance, meeting synthesis, logistics coordination, and process design. She holds a B.A in Political Science and Africana Studies from Tulane University, and received the Felipe Smith, Jr., Award for Excellence in Africana Studies, and gave the commencement address for the Tulane School of Liberal Arts Class of 2021.
Sophie Carrillo-Mandel, Associate, has over a decade of experience in facilitation services, natural resource management, and event planning. She’s worked especially on complex water use issues, including managed aquifer recharge, statewide urban water use efficiency, sustainable groundwater management, and water quality monitoring. Sophie holds a B.A. in Language Studies from UC Santa Cruz and a professional certificate in Conflict Resolution from UC Davis Extension.
Aline Kaplanian, Senior Manager of Accounting, brings vast experience in for-profit and non-profit settings to provide senior level support over the organization’s accounting & human resources functions. Aline holds a B.S. in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University and has 20 years of experience.
