CBI and the New Nigeria Foundation are facilitating the work of a distinguished and diverse group of Nigerian leaders to change the focus of public debate in Nigeria from "how to get more oil revenue" to "how to get beyond oil." The Forum for Inclusive Nigerian Development (FIND) has just gone public with its Call to Action. Several Forum members as well as NNF staff presented the Call to a group of news editors, journalists and columnists in Lagos, the country's media capital, on January 13th.

The media participants responded very favorably, and a leading newspaper, The Guardian, published a story on the meeting. The Forum will be working actively with media and other civil society partners throughout Nigeria's national election season, to promote public and candidate debate on how to diversify Nigeria's economy and its government revenue sources.
