A circular bioeconomy—using renewable material and minimizing waste—can make an array of systems more sustainable. This year, CBI facilitated a convening on “Feedstocks of the Future for a Circular U.S. Bioeconomy,” a project from the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR) in partnership with Schmidt Futures. Now, FFAR is releasing a summary report from the convening, in which 50 stakeholders considered “how to capture value from renewable waste streams," which can include "agricultural residues, forestry residues, processing residues and municipal solid waste."
