Ian Yue

Ian Yue is a Senior Associate Consultant at the Consensus Building Institute. He has over 12 years of experience helping teams and organizations solve strategic and operational challenges by aligning stakeholders around shared values, constraints, and needs.  

Ian specializes in leading efforts around climate action, food systems, and ocean and coastal use. His experience includes guiding pre‑competitive sustainability initiatives for global beverage producers, advising family philanthropies on catalytic funding strategies, driving consensus building with ocean stakeholders to forge agreement on federal policy, and designing statewide climate and marine spatial plans in Delaware and Connecticut.

Originally from the Twin Cities, Minnesota, Ian now lives in northern Delaware, where he serves on his church’s leadership board, organizes pickleball and volleyball games for a recreational sports group, and seeks out live theater and cinema classics whenever possible.

Education

Ian holds an M.S. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Connecticut, and a dual B.S./B.A. in Environmental Studies and Anthropology from Wheaton College (IL). He also holds a facilitative mediation certificate through the University of Delaware's Conflict Resolution Program at the Biden School of Public Policy & Administration.
