Junior Associate

Simenesh Semine is a Junior Associate at the Consensus Building Institute. She supports various projects through stakeholder engagement, assisting with facilitation and mediation, technical assistance, meeting synthesis, logistics coordination, and process design. She assists the firm on a number of topics including renewable energy, community engagement, strategic development, and resource management. Simenesh also has experience in leading technical assistance and planning for hybrid meetings. 

 

Education and Affilations

Simenesh Semine holds a B.A in Political Science and Africana Studies from Tulane University. In college, she worked in technical support for the university's transition to hybrid education, as well as facilitated dialogs and trainings through the Center for Public Service. Simenesh received the Felipe Smith, Jr., Award for Excellence in Africana Studies, and gave the commencement address for the Tulane School of Liberal Arts Class of 2021. Prior to CBI, Simenesh was a law clerk at a malpractice firm in Boston, Massachusetts.
