Senior Associate
Laura Sneeringer is a Senior Associate at the Consensus Building Institute. She has provided collaborative services for 13 years on complex organizational and environmental issues. Her primary focus is helping increase effectiveness and productivity within and across organizations and partnerships. Laura is based out of the Denver office.
Laura’s primary focus is on improving organizational effectiveness. She conducts assessments to uncover core organizational needs and opportunities. From there, she helps implement recommendations, facilitates team- and partnership-building and strategic planning efforts, mediates high conflict situations, and provides training in collaborative skills. She is a certified coach who helps individuals refine their leadership style, clarify their niche where interests and expertise align, prepare for transitions, and resolve conflicts.
Laura also facilitates a range of complex multi-party decision-making and consensus-building processes on topics such as water resources, land use and transportation planning, energy development, and wildlife issues. She works with a wide range of stakeholders, including federal, state, local, and tribal government agencies; nonprofits; the private sector; and advocates.

Laura is a mediator on the rosters of the U.S. Department of Interior, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and U.S. Institute for Environmental Conflict Resolution. She is a certified coach with the International Coach Federation and completed her training with the Coaches Training Institute. Laura holds a holds a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Policy Studies from Syracuse University.
